Project Tips:

Be sure to allow 1/8” between tiles for grout.

To save time, work on the additional eggs as you wait for sections to dry.
 
Instructions
1. Cover the work area with newspaper or kraft paper.
2. To make the large eggs; Measure and mark a 5” line on a piece of scrap paper to mark the Cobblestone placement for each egg. 
3. Place the sparkle pink Cobblestones along the line in the direction of your choosing, nip white Classico Minis into triangles and place in space between Cobblestones, following the image a guide. Place a row of white Classico tiles above and below the Cobblestones. Place a row of pink Classico tiles above and below each white row; continue alternating colors until your reach the top and bottom of the egg.
4. Adhere about 4-5 Cobblestone tiles to each egg at a time; you can add additional tiles about an inch above and below the Cobblestones. It’s best to work with about 1/5 to ¼ of the egg at a time so tiles do not slide off. Wait about 20 minutes before turning the egg to add additional tiles.
5. Repeat Step 3 -4 with the blue sparkle Cobblestones and gray and teal Classico Tiles.
6. To make the medium eggs; Measure and mark a 7” line on a piece of scrap paper to mark the Cobblestone placement for each egg.
7. Place the beige Cobblestones along the line in the direction of your choosing. Place the beige Classico tiles perpendicular to the Cobblestones and add rows of dark green Classico tiles above and below the beige, followed by light green Classico tiles continuing this pattern until you reach the top and bottom.
8. Place the pink Cobblestones along the line in the direction of your choosing. Using the image as a guide, place purple Classico tiles at an angle parallel to Cobblestones.
9. Repeat Step 3 with sparkle yellow Cobblestones and beige, yellow and orange Classico tiles using the image as a guide. To add interest place tiles on the egg at an angle.
10. Adhere about 4-5 Cobblestone tiles to each egg at a time, you can add additional tiles about ½” on either side of the Cobblestones. It’s best to work with about ¼ to 1/3 of the egg at a time so tiles do not slide off. Wait about 20 minutes before turning the egg to add additional tiles.
11. To make the small eggs measure and mark a 1.75” line on a piece of scrap paper to mark the Cobblestone placement for each egg.
12. Repeat Step 3 using white Cobblestones and black and white Classico tiles; blue Cobblestones and pink and dark blue Classico tiles; sparkle white Cobblestones and light blue and dark blue Classic tiles.
13. Adhere about 2-3 Cobblestone tiles to each egg at a time, you can add additional tiles about 1/4” on either side of the Cobblestones. It’s best to work with about ¼ to 1/3 of the egg at a time so tiles do not slide off. Wait about 20 minutes before turning the egg to add additional tiles.
14. Allow adhesive to dry at least 2 hours before grouting.
15. You will need about 2 ½ cups of grout for all of the eggs.
16. To make the purple grout, mix one teaspoon of each blue and rose Colorants in about 3 tablespoons of water. Pour colored water into ½ cup of grout and mix until you achieve uniform color. Add small amounts of blue or rose to get your desired color. If grout becomes too stiff, add water to reach the consistency of peanut butter.
17. To make the teal grout, mix one teaspoon of each blue and green Colorants in about 3 tablespoons of water. Pour colored water into ½ cup of grout and mix until you achieve uniform color. Add small amounts of blue or green to get your desired color.
18. To make the yellow grout, mix one teaspoon of yellow Colorant in about 1.5 tablespoons of water. Pour colored water into 1/4 cup of grout and mix until you achieve uniform color.
19. To make the green grout, mix one teaspoon of green Colorant in about 1.5 tablespoons of water. Pour colored water into 1/4 cup of grout and mix until you achieve uniform color.
20. To make the blue grout, mix one teaspoon of blue Colorant in about 2 tablespoons of water. Pour colored water into 1/3 cup of grout and mix until you achieve uniform color. Remove a table spoon and mix with water and a few tablespoons of grout to get a lighter blue.
21. To make the pink grout mix one teaspoon of rose Colorant in about 2 tablespoons of water. Pour colored water into 1/3 cup of grout and mix until you achieve uniform color. Remove a table spoon and mix with water and a few tablespoons of grout to get a lighter pink.
22. With a gloved hand, smooth grout over tile, filling in the crevices. Remove as much excess grout as you can with your hand.
23. After 10 minutes, use a damp sponge or paper towels to remove grout haze. Allow to set following manufacturer’s instructions.
24. When dry, buff with a smooth cloth.
